Product Details

The most advanced fly rod to ever bear our signature name, it's been redesigned to be 15% stronger and 10% lighter than its predecessor. These supple, shorter 3- and 4-weight rods are perfect for smaller pocket waters.

A favorite pastime of Maine fly fishermen is hiking into small, remote streams and ponds in search of native wild brook trout. You don't need long, fast-action fly rods for this kind of fishing; shorter, suppler rods are the weapons of choice. These rods are perfect for this kind of fishing, not just in Maine but for any pocket water you can find.

  • Advanced taper allows for precise line control and delicate presentations.
  • Pac Bay Minima stripping guides are lighter and more durable.
  • 4-piece design for easy traveling.
  • Half wells AAA cork grip.
  • Improved resins and graphite produce a lighter yet stronger blank for excellent performance.
  • Burled wooden reel seat spacer.
  • Rod weight is marked on each ferrule to avoid confusion with another rod.
  • 4-pc. rod with ferrule alignment dot and line for super-fast assembly.
  • Graphite rod tube, cloth rod sleeve and model info engraved on cap.
  • Fluid medium-fast action will be appreciated by beginners and experts alike.
Rated 5 de 5 de par Versitle small stream rod. Really pleased with this rod. I have the 4 weight version of this item. I used the LL Bean replacement plan as I broke the tip section of my older rod. This one is the new / upgraded version. I really like the addition of the alignment markings to help when you are assembling the four pieces. I use this rod for small streams however I have landed some large trout on this rod, The flex is just right for casting dry flies and small nymphs. This weight has enough backbone that enables you to cast 30-40 feet with ease and play a large trout quickly. The compact size is great for those tough casts under low hanging trees and negotiating steams with a lot of brush.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Double L 4 wt , lookout , you're gonna love it This is the perfect rod for tight streams . It casts like a larger rod and though a smaller 4wt , has handled larger trout and bass without breaking .it's finish level is beautiful for the price.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Ideal small stream trout rod I bought this for fishing small native brook trout streams here in PA and it seems to be an ideal rod for such purposes. My first time using it I had excess tippet on the furled leader and once I shortened it to 7’ my casting accuracy significantly improved. The rod seems well made, looks great and is lightweight. Probably the only criticism I have is that I don’t care much for the feel of the cork handle compared to my other premium rods.
