Gloves vs mittens
Sadly these are not as warm as I had hoped. I spend time outside photographing birds so I am sedentary for extended periods of time. They are warm but not as I had hoped. The mittens are warmer but bulkier to use.

Disappointing
No problem with the fit, but I expected better from LL Bean. My fingers got cold while walking my dog in 20 degree weather. They might keep your hands dry, but definitely not warm.

Warm and Lightweight
Warm!.. Soft and Lightweight. My hands are ALWAYS Cold and I wear these when I work out in the early mornings in the winter. The higher cuff is great too keeps any draft out and the warmth in.

Strange features
Very disappointing. Expensive and not at all warm. Hands freezing at 25 degrees despite activity. Worse than much cheaper gives I wanted to replace thinking these would be warm. They were not.
