Backrest pillow
This item does the job. It’s quite firm, a little bouncy. The fabric plushness doesn’t hold up well, it quickly mats down to something visually resembling pumice, although it hasn’t started to pull yet. (I’ve had if two weeks.) The arms of the pillow splay out a little too widely to be as useful as they might otherwise be. But, as I said, it does the job, is supportive and comfortable.

Loaded with static electricity
Much as I wanted this backrest to be more comfortable than the pile of pillows I use to read in bed, it wasn't. Even worse, just leaning back against it produced a lot of unpleasant static electricity.

Soft and cozy!
I was in search of a soft, cozy backrest pillow for a gift and this fits the bill. My only complaint is that the carrying handle at the top is a bit flimsy and I'm not predicting it is going to withstand much use.
