Warm, but fragile?
They're very warm and lightweight. They make a wonderful base layer. HOWEVER, I punctured a hole in them with my fingertip (I have short nails, so that's not it) when I was pulling them on the second time I wore them. I'll be looking to get a replacement once I have a minute to do it.

Love this base layer.
This base layer is exactly what I wanted. It's 100% merino wool, but it's smooth and not itchy. It's thin but warm. It fits beautifully under my leggings or pants. I would order these again.

Good But Not Durable
Bought these for a December trip to Quebec. First impression was great: comfortable fit, lightweight, soft, NOT itchy. I wore them under regular jeans for 3 days, and they did keep me warm. But when I got home and laundered them (following the care instructions), I noticed they had developed several tiny holes, in line with what several other reviewers have reported. I'm returning them due to the fabric quality issue. I might try again since most reviewers have not reported this problem, and I did like them very much in every other way.

Fabric is shredding
Bought a pair in 2022 and wrote a rave review. Am writing now (early 2024) with sorry news: After light use (appx 6-8 times worn) and careful hand-washing in special wool-friendly detergent, the fabric is shredding. Quality is definitely not up to LLBean standards. They're going back.

Much better than Smartwool for the money. But be aware that these are see-thru(really sheer) and if you want thicker merino leggings, go for the Midweight ones. LL Bean's quality is very good! I am 5' 3", 115 lbs, and the Small fit me well.
