My Go To Shorts
I bought these to add to my wardrobe because the same basic style of this short has been in my wardrobe for countless years, ( no , really, countless!). I needed a couple fresh pairs and a new color! The style has changed minimally over the years (now offering slightly heavier waist elastic and material), but it is still the same Great Go to Shorts which I depend on for warm weather!

Fresh looking comfort
I just got these for my beach vacation. This dark salmon is a favorite color. I did size up one size to ensure a relaxed fit. I puzzled over the LLBean short options for a long time. These are comfortable without looking sloppy, fresh, and feminine. I was happy that they are perfect for me.

Great shorts
Have worn these shorts for years, but have not ordered new ones in a long time. Happy to see that they have not changed in quality. In fact, the waistband is much improved.

Not for me
These looked and sounded like a good pair of shorts for summer, so ordered them in a size 8. Once they came, though, I changed my mind immediately--the pockets were too shallow, the fabric felt too heavy for our hot SC summers, and even though I knew they were 6 inches in length, they were just too short and not at all flattering. The rise was OK, as was the tan color, but that was about it. Returned them.

Sun washed canvas
I have been searching the LLBean site for a couple years. I still have 3 pairs of sunwashed canvas shorts that still look and feel great. Just wanted new colors. Why would you stop making such a great product? Glad I read the reviews. Wondered what happened.

Totally agree with the other reviewers—this is a very poor substitute for the sun washed canvas shorts that you stopped making. While I did not have any issue with the fabric or the color, these are cut shorter on the leg and fit tighter overall. This is the third purchase I made from L.L. Bean in the last four months that I had to return due to fit. You are obviously cutting back on the amount of fabric and overall product quality . Meanwhile, the sun washed canvas shorts that I purchased several years ago, still fit me perfectly and look great.
