Almost ideal, but
LL Bean does not keep them in stock! I look every couple of months because I have tried dozens of flannel shirt types from Bean and elsewhere and this one (513682) is my favorite. With the poly and a bit of some stretchy material (59% cotton, 39% polyester, 2% spandex) it is an ideal combination. It doesn't keep on shrinking just a little like ALL the 100% cottons. It is sized right, looks nice and remains ultra-comfortable after many dozens of washings. I want to ask the Bean folks to do two things: Order more and don't change the specs.

Softest flannel ever
I’ve been buying the bean flex flannel for years. it’s my husbands favorite flannel. The flannel is the softest I’ve found. The shirts last forever. Please don’t discontinue this wonderful shirt.

Beats my Brooks Brother Flannels.
This is nice as Spring comes on. Not too heavy and works well under a fleece or sweater, but heavy enough to let you drive without a winter coat on, and stand out side without a coat for a bit.

Must be short and stocky to love this shirt.
It is a nice looking shirt, but it is designed for a wide and stocky man with a short torso. If you are a tall and lanky man, this shirt is not for you. It will be too short and too wide, and you will be disappointed. The fabric and design are very nice, though.
