Not a good buy
I've been a Bean customer since the 90's. Their products are no longer of quality anymore. These shorts - good material, just too bad they weren't made better. The pockets are all too shallow! Even the zip phone thigh pockets are too shallow. Phones stick out of the pocket. The fit is not what I expect from Bean. They really need to figure out what they want... quality or cheapness - can't have both.
Try checking other makers for a better fit.

Nice summer short!
Nice lightweight short… my only complaint would be that the back pockets could be deeper… my phone doesn’t drop down in there quite as well as I’d like… other than that - very nice!
The recommended size (L) was too snug… returned for XL that are a touch sloppy but ok

Best ever mens shorts
I bought these shorts 25 years ago and am still wearing them! They are so versitile- for hiking, running, swimming, casual events, and everyday short pants style. The zippers , Velcro ,snap, belt all still work as they are designed to do. I have worn these shorts on all continents, except for Anartica! They will not disappoint.

Awesome for hot weather!
Yes, the pockets are a bit shallow, but what are you carrying? My keys and minimalist wallet fit perfectly in the zippered pocket. What I'd love to see are more colors - olive green and black specifically. I'd definitely buy more!
