Stiff leather
While they are without a doubt well made, they killed my shins. The leather is very stiff and even with winter socks my shins were painful and bruised so had to unfortunately return them. Exchanged for the denim bean boot which has the soft cloth upper. No issue with those.

Uncomfortable Boots
Unfortunately, I didn't order a size down so the boots were too big. Also, the tongue dug into my calf and was very uncomfortable. Next time, I'll buy boots at the LL Bean store in our area so I can try them on and make sure the fit is right.

I will never not have a pair of these.
I love these. They are my spring & fall go-to. They keep my feet dry in all the rainy, muddy weather. I've had them a while now, and they are holding up fantastic. If they fell apart easily, I'd be letting someone know. I appreciate they quality construction of these boots.

Live up to the hype
Super happy with my purchase. They arrived just in time for a big snow storm in the northeast and way below freezing temps.
The boots are very warm and comfortable, and didn't let any snow/rain in.
I ordered a half size smaller than my usualy size and they're a good fit, I probably could have tried a full size smaller, but I'm okay with them being slightly roomy vs slightly small

My favorite all around boots
My second pair over the years. Super comfortable, true to size, warm and help me deal with rain, mud and snow when necessary. I insulation helps in cold weather but also doesn’t overheat you.

No bunions allowed
Bought as gift. Overall quality & construction looked good. However due to Bunion on inside of foot, the stiff construction made continual wearing uncomfortable.

Must Have!
These boots are amazing. I have had my eye on them for awhile but wanted to try them on before purchasing. On a recent trip to Minneapolis I was able to get hands on the boots at the Mall of America store. Thanks to Emil in the shoe department I found the perfect boots. I usually wear an 8.5 but I wear an 7.5 in the Bean Boot. First wear was great. For 10 minutes I was worried that I would have buyer’s remorse but then everything was great and I love them. So comfy! Warm but feet not too hot. I recommend these for everyone but beware of the size discrepancy. I haven’t seen 7.5 on my shoes since middle school!
