Web's ware.
What a great boot. I was looking for something warm for snow blowing but not a boot that was clumsy or bulky and hard to walk in and this boot fit the bill ! This boot feels like a normal every day work shoe.

Very Warm Boot
OK, first of all this is my second review. The first one was about the boot not being true to size. I exchanged for a size 9, I usually wear a 7 1/2. Still not true to size but I wore this with cold weather socks, I think they were Merino wool socks, that I purchased from LL Bean a few years back and they are thicker. I also had a men's Baxter State Parka (see review). The combination was great for the weather in Hokkaido. The temperature was about 24 F (-4 C). The traction on these boots were pretty good, in fact I didn't slip on the snow or ice once. And the boots were comfortable. I pretty much stayed toasty warm and enjoyed my vacation.

A good active moderate cold weather boot overall
The boots are warm enough for active activities such as outside work or snowshoeing, good grip on slippery snow/ice surfaces, easy on/ off, and light with good flexible. I did upgrade the insole, but comfortable to be on cold concrete surfaces in single digit weather for hours. Only thing I would change would be the color of the mesh regions. It appears more gray than black. Would prefer black like the rest of the boot. It looks more suburban, two tone, than back woods UP of Michigan.

The warmest boots, bar none
LL Bean advertises these as their warmest boots and I can attest, they cut the muster. Wore these all weekend in Quebec City for Carnaval, temps in the lower single digits Fahrenheit and my feet were comfortable the entire time.

Cold weather boot
Great boot for cold weather. Added waterproofing for the soating wet that others noted in past reviews. Boot feels snug though I went up a 1/2 size. Width is just right.

Warmth,comfort,lightweight
Simply Best winter I have owned. Worth every dime. I walk n Hike every day. up until now no boot would keep my feet warm in winter weather here and in snow only if used the toe warmers. Great traction waterproof "as with all my boots a good coat of beeswax keeps the factory waterproofing working long after the newness wears off. order Half size over and one winter sock is all i use. Even after riding in a car or being inside extended periods there still warm when going back out in the cold. they fit in my snowshoes with ease I can snowmobiling and walk in winter terrain i wouldn't think of doing without creepers on. They feel almost the same now as first day i slipped them on. Id call them a true winter hiking boot.

Great hiking boot
Fit is very comfortable, and the boots stay dry and warm as advertised. The boots remain comfortable and stable even with the addition of cleats/spikes for icy trails.
