Grandsons are loving them.
I’m actually bought two for my grandsons ages 3&5, taught them to cast in pool with a bobber. These poles are easy to use and so much fun as soon as I can we are going fishing!

Best pole!
I bought this for my 4 year grandson. It worked really well. He still had a little trouble holding down the button to cast but he will learn. The line/reel never knotted. The pole is the perfect size and I was able to cast out a good 40+ feet so he could reel it in.

Good first time rod for a kid
Took a 7 and 9 year old trout fishing for the first time. Bought a blue one and a green one. They were able to handle the outfit and could cast with just a little practice. Landed about 50 fish with each outfit and no issues.

Really nice fishing rod for children
Looks great. Got it for my husband so that our 5-yr-old can go fishing with him (this will be used by our son). It’s lightweight and totally manageable for a young child. Of course, it’s the quality you’d expect from LL Bean. Everyone is happy!

The great service we received.
I bought this at the Freeport store for my 7 year old granddaughter. The older gentleman who helped us pick the right fishing pole for her age and all the things needed for fishing snd carring her gear. He was knowledgeable, pleasant and patient with all my questions. We were quite pleased with the whole experience.
