fit is okay, not great, but disappointed that they are no longer including an upper zip pocket either outside or inside

Not for apple shapes
For me, this coat is too fitted. I have an apple shape and prefer a relaxed fit. I’m 5’4” and weigh 120 lbs. I ordered a regular small and it was too tight through the body. I hope L.L.Bean will consider making more coats with a relaxed fit which will fit more body types.

Soft and cozy
XL fits like a dream. I'm 5'9" and 153 lbs. There's room enough for a medium-weight sweater. The coat is so soft, inside and out, and light. I haven't worn it outside, not cold enough yet, but I expect it to be cozy in 40 to 50-degree F fall weather. Very well-made. Wish there were inside pockets, though.

A lovely coat, great fit, great sleeve length, beautiful color.. perhaps, too light? I frankly cannot believe someone is wearing this in 30 F weather. I doubt it can handle even 50. What in front of me is basically a very thin shell and fleece. If it has any lining between, it’s minimal to nothing.. not enough for cold weather, for sure.
