Love these shorts but!!!
I have attempted to buy these madras shorts for ten years! I love everything about them but the size! Fabric and color choice are spot on except the sizing! You can size up multiple times and it’s impossible to find a good fit! I’m not overweight but unfortunately regardless of the size these shorts are unforgiving and made for teenage style bodies! Please consider redesigning these shorts for your loyal LL Bean madras lover customers who keep trying to buy them with no success!

Madras splendor
Love the fabric - it’s a gorgeous muted madras. Soft, solid, and fun. I’m keeping them and wearing them, BUT they’re not flattering on my body type. Despite diet & exercise, I’ve just got abdominal laxity following two C-sections and middle age. The reality is the cut /mid-rise/pocket placement doesn’t flatter my abdomen.
If you’ve got a flatter stomach, you’ll love them. If you have a bit of a pooch, you’ll still like them. They’ll be perfect with a cotton sweater or sweatshirt on a cooler day.
They’re long (9”) which can be a nice change and a little more elevated than most of the shorts out now.

Cool shorts for hot southern summer!
Nice shorts, like the 10” length and light weight of madras. Barley color goes well with shirts and tanks I already own. Size 10, I’m 5’7” 150lbs. from SC. I recommend these to a friend
