This zip-top tote bag is made in Maine and built for the long haul. Now available with a front pocket, by customer request.
Introduced as Bean's Ice Carrier way back in 1944, the Boat and Tote was billed as a bag made of builders' canvas for hauling ice "from car to ice chest." Today you can spot it doing heavy lifting everywhere from grocery stores to gardens, from beaches to bedroom closets. Tested to hold up to 500 pounds, it'll carry more than you can carry. We promise.

pls make black canvas a regular option!
wish it came with the longer straps like the regular editions; that those regular ones had a black canvas option (SO much more functional in the city); also wish it arrived faster than 6 months (truly!).

Boat & Tote Zip Top Pocket Medium Hold up and Lots
This is a very durable product. We now have 3 as eventually the corners on the bottom start to show wear but not in danger of becoming holes. Sometimes it is so stuffed with things that it takes two hands to carry it to and from the car!

Black canvas LLBean bag personalized
I purchased several LLBean canvas bags (cream or white with different personalized colors for each of my sisters) and one sister preferred the black bag with white font. My Sister Annette LOVES her new LLBean canvas bag. I like it so much myself, that I just might buy myself another personalized LLBean bag in black, too.
