I am very particular about the belts I wear. The 1912 Stretch Jean Belt is impressive. Quality of leather is nice and thick. The belt fits well with jeans and khakis. I really like the stretch portion of the belt. Gents, some of you may have experienced your belt buckle half way turned down if you are bending a lot during the day...not with this belt. The stretch portion of the belt is really cool. It serves as a guide for your body movement throughout the day and your belt and pants remain neatly in place. Bottomline, great and comfortable belt. I found the length to be on point.

I received this belt as a Christmas gift this year. I love the slight stretch part as it makes the right fit much easier and super comfortable to wear! It’s perfect for jeans when lounging around or going on a hike ! I’ve done both wearing this belt!

Great belt with unusually comfortable fit.
A very handsome belt with a great brass buckle and amazing fit. I was looking for a belt that I could wear with my jeans and allow me to attach by cell phone clip to the belt. Most belts have a long overhang which creates a problem for attaching the cell phone. The style, which has an elastic piece in the body, allows me to comfortably secure my belt and leaves an excellent spot to attach my phone over the elastic material. In addition, the ability to close the belt with the extra elastic inside, makes this a particularly comfortable belt to use on any occasion. The leather is a rich handsome brown, is sturdy, yet soft. The best belt I have ever worn.

stretch to much
I bought two at first it felt great, so I went and bought another one.Iwear size 40 pants a week later the belt was to loose my pants fell to knees.I pull it back in the next hole and they got more loose.Returning one of them.I would rather the old llbean jean belt.

Weird stretch belt
What the picture fails to show is a strip of elastic that stretches; the leather does not. It looks OK as long as the leather end covers is when buckled, but it does not for me. It is comfortable but a bit weird looking.

Nice belt for my holster!
I got this belt for my leather holster; the belt is thick leather and fits great and holds the weight. I am keeping the belt. My only complaint/concern is that on the belt, it is marked as "GENUINE LEATHER." On the website, the belt is marketed as "full-grain Bison leather." I am not nitpicking but in this context, there MIGHT be a difference between the two.

Stretch part of belt was clearly obvious - belt looks bad in a mirror. Poor design of stretch part location.
“Stretch” is exaggerated & not significant - maybe a half-inch at most.

Fills a need
With a 33-in. waist, neither a 34-in. or a 32-in. belt fits. The 34 I bought seems a bit shorter than usual, and the stretch gives it just enough add to be okay. I think I could have bought a 32, though.

A high-quality product that stretches
I tend to stock up when I find something that works for me. This purchase was the second time I have bought both the brown and black belts in case this style should be discontinued. Great Belt - - Till the Locking Bar Reversed
I'll start by saying that I swear by LL Bean quality and spent close to $2500 on everything from chairs to clothes to boots this past year.
This is a great belt that I used for slightly over a year. One day, the strangest thing happened. The "locking bar" or pin that is used to insert into the belt holes reversed itself so that it was on the wrong side of the buckle. The pin is not bent and is longer than the buckle frame by definition, so I have no idea how this could have occurred. I have tried pliers to fix it with no avail.
As I have so few problems with LL Bean products, I wanted to pass this along, should others have run across same problem.
