This exclusive scotch plaid flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.
- Body lined in 100% polyester sherpa fleece.
- Made of high-quality Portuguese cotton flannel, an L.L.Bean exclusive.
- Sleeves lined in a soft jersey blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester for easy on/off.

I only gave a 3-star rating because the sleeves are lined with a lighter weight material. I think the fleece that you use in your Fleece-Lined Flannel Shirts (which I LOVE) should have been used here.

Different materials for men and women’s garments?
Hi,
I purchased 4 of these women’s Sherpa lined shirts for my family. As a retired home economics teacher I noticed that my shirt had quite a few threads that had not been trimmed. My daughter noticed that her husband’s Sherpa lined flannel shirt had Sherpa lining in the sleeves while the woman’s version didn’t. She and I both wonder the reason for this difference between the two gender garments? Look forward to hearing the company’s reasoning.

Warm and Cozy!
I wear this daily indoors and find it fits nicely over a fleece shirt when I am cold. The pockets are very deep and in spite of not being zippered, they hold a phone easily. The shirt is easy to get on and off and falls to mid hip. A great shirt!

Warm, comfortable shirt
The Sherpa lined shirt is a notch warmer than the flannel lined shirts that LL Bean also sells. The sleeves are not lined with Sherpa but I knew that from reading prior reviews. The MacRae Hunting Modern color is very nice.

Super cozy and comfy. Would rate it four or five stars, but interior pocket lining coming apart after limited wear (I don’t think I had even washed it yet as I was wearing it over layers). Will repair and continue to wear, but concerned about seam integrity when I do wash it. QC process may need tightening. And seam allowances when working with Sherpa may need to be increased.
