This exclusive scotch plaid flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.
- Body lined in 100% polyester sherpa fleece.
- Made of high-quality Portuguese cotton flannel, an L.L.Bean exclusive.

I like the shirt and it fits well. I was very disappointed that the sleeves weren’t lined as one that I had bought several years ago.

It was *almost* perfect
The color is lovely, the Sherpa on the inside is so soft, but the Sherpa is ONLY on the inside of the torso. The sleeves are lined with a cotton/polyester blend that is decidedly NOT cozy or warm and does not spark joy.

This Flannel Has PILLED TREMENDOUSLY! (Read Below)
I bought this item and currently have 2 men's flannel sherpa-lined AND 3 women's flannel sherpa-lined from LLBean. ONLY this plaid has PILLED to an extreme!!! It must be a fabric of poor quality because NONE of the others have done this. Also, the outside back section of flannel shrank so it rolled up and out. I'm VERY disappointed and won't buy any more from LLBean.

Wanted to like it
I only gave a 3-star rating because the sleeves are lined with a lighter weight material. I think the fleece that you use in your Fleece-Lined Flannel Shirts (which I LOVE) should have been used here.

Different materials for men and women’s garments?
Hi,
I purchased 4 of these women’s Sherpa lined shirts for my family. As a retired home economics teacher I noticed that my shirt had quite a few threads that had not been trimmed. My daughter noticed that her husband’s Sherpa lined flannel shirt had Sherpa lining in the sleeves while the woman’s version didn’t. She and I both wonder the reason for this difference between the two gender garments? Look forward to hearing the company’s reasoning.
