I know that there are different textures of wool, but it's really a lot scratchier than I expected. It's also not warm like I thought it would be, and it was thin enough to see light through when I held it up. I was even more surprised when I saw that the tag said Pendleton. Definitely not the quality I'd been expecting, especially at that price. I sent it back right away. I should have trusted the other reviewers who expressed similar disappointment.
