A new twist on a nautical tradition, our Irish fisherman cardigan sweater features a flattering shorter length and a more fitted style. In soft cotton yarns, with a beautiful open-stitch fair isle pattern.
The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. Bring back the lobster!

Beautiful sweater but feels like twine
This is visually a very pretty sweater but be warned--in person it looks and feels exactly like it's made of twine! This causes the sweater to feel quite heavy weight-wise when you pick it up, but once it's on the stiff fiber and open weave feel very airy, not at all warm and cozy. This may not matter to some people, but for me it was a deal breaker.
