The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. cozy and cute winter cardigan
I love wearing this sweater and get so many compliments! I'm not usually a heavy sweater person, but this one isn't scratchy and feels calming like a weighted blanket. And it can be unbuttoned if I get a little too warm.

Lovely loon sweater, my second
I liked my dogs design fair isle sweater so well that I recently ordered the faded sage green (a soft sage) with loons design, too. I love this one just as much, and in some ways more. It might be very slightly softer and surprisingly I like the fit of the regular length better than the petite length I ordered before. At 5' 3", I almost always order petites, but the new loon design wasn't available in petite length so I ordered a regular. This sweater is styled to be a little shorter than some and the regular length works fine for me. I was afraid the sleeves would be too long, but they are not. It's a perfect fit. This sweater runs true to size but is slightly fitted for a heavy cardigan. It is not oversized. ..... I love these sweaters for their unique designs, pretty stitchwork, and their heavy but cozy weight in 100% cotton. These are very warm worn over a light or medium weight long sleeved shirt or top. Note there is some open stitchwork so something worn underneath is probably needed even if worn buttoned all the way. A bit pricey, but it shows. These are beautiful sweaters I plan to wear for years.
