A new twist on a nautical tradition, our Irish fisherman cardigan sweater features a flattering shorter length and a more fitted style. In soft cotton yarns, with a beautiful open-stitch fair isle pattern.
The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. We've recreated these details in a fitted yet easygoing silhouette, beautifully detailed with a classic Fair Isle design.

Lovely-petite slightly different than picture
I had this sweater on my wish list for about 2 years and finally took advantage of the recent sale. It is lovely! The petite fits me very well and I was thrilled to see this came in petite. One thing for fellow petite gals to know that the petite does not have the bottom red section and no red detail at the sleeve. I assume this was eliminated in the “shortening” process.

Signature Cotton Fisherman Button Front Cardigan
Unique Cotton Fisherman Button Front Cardigan Sweater. I appreciate how the cotton has a different weight and feels to it. The blue flowers remind me of spring and are the reason why I purchased this sweater.

Coveted fisherman sweaters for years.
Startled at how pretty it is- has a crocheted design in a rustic heavy weight yarn. I chose the oatmeal with flowers which would be gorgeous with everything, but am exchanging for the royal red as I think the boot design might be more sporty and rugged. Will see when it arrives. Ordered an x small for my 119 lb. 4’11” frame. Desired a closer fit, it’s stretchy.
