The original fisherman's sweaters of the Aran Islands were knit with designs that told stories of a rich coastal heritage. From good luck to a plentiful catch, special sentiments were represented in each and every stitch. Not as Expected
This sweater was short all around, even though I ordered a Large size for a bit of added room/comfort. The ribbed cuffs came to mid-forearms with arms outstretched, when styles these days are expected to run longer in the sleeves. The length of the sweater itself also was a bit short, as I found myself tugging it down for more comfort.

Lovely golden retrievers!
Been wanting one of these iconic LL Bean sweaters for some time. I love the thick cotton, they do “pull” easily so I’m careful with it, but it’s a blessing to have a quality material. Good fit, nicely made, and it’s a tribute to a very special Golden Retriever I know and love. I’d like another one of these sweaters!

Dark Green Sweater Sizing Comments
This review is for the new dark green cardigan with tree design. The color and design are lovely. Quality is nice. However, the sizing has changed from last year. I own the red with boot design and the oatmeal color with blue flowers and loved the fit and style. This year's model, in dark green, is three inches shorter. The design area is smaller. While the overall look is nice, I'm returning because the dark green cardigan is just too short for me.
