I bought this jacket for my husband since he wanted something light yet warm. He wore it in windy, 30-degree weather, and it kept him very warm and comfortable.

Disappointed
I purchased the Red and Black model, size Xl in the late fall(5’9”,200lbs)a small tear has developed in the front which I will have to repair. I am a 70+ senior and am very gentle with my clothing, and no dogs! My wife and I have many LLB down jackets from 5-15 years old, no others have ripped. This one was not a good buy!

Looking for warmth, comfort, and good looks...
I purchased this jacket in late Fall 2025 and it is excellent down to about 30 F, unless your being very active. This jacket replaced an 8 year old prior mode. The quality is usual LL Bean, excellent! The fit is very good and can be worn over a mid-layer. The down is very light and surprisingly warm. My wife likes the styling and colors. I have received several comments from strangers about the jacket.

Lightweight and amazingly warm!
I am very impressed with this jacket. It is extremely lightweight yet it is amazingly warm. It blocks the wind, and the elastic at the wrists keeps the cold from the forearms without binding. I was looking for a lightweight winter jacket, and this one more than fills the bill.
