Perfect travel pants
I think these are the perfect pants for travel. They are comfortable as the fabric has some stretch. They have five pockets with sippers and two without. Passport, wallet, cellphone can each be securely sipped away. Need shorts? Sip off the lower leg portions and cool off. When you want to restore to full length the bottom panels are color coded to remove any confusion between left and right. After washing, they air dry overnight. They do not show wrinkles. They are lightweight and occupy little space in luggage of backpack. Buy two pair and you are set to go most anywhere.

Best Hiking Pants Ever!
I just returned from a trip to Italy where the temps were in the 70Fs to 80Fs daily. The zip off leg bottoms allowed for a more comfortable change when needed. The water resistant fabric worked great when we were on Mt. Etna, one of Italy's active volcanoes. Clouds and rain would appear and disappear rapidly, and the pants dried very quickly. The multiple zip pockets were especially useful to provide security for wallets & camera, etc., when in crowds where pick-pockets might be active. The stretch feel and comfort were great. I liked these pants better than the previous brand I had been wearing mostly when hiking in the ADK Mts. Several people in our group, who were not as well prepared for the elements we faced, asked me about them. I plan to purchase another pair for a future trip.

Love these for fishing
I actually use these while fishing - they have the ideal arrangement of pockets (with zippers so that I don't lose anything overboard). Lightweight and dry quickly when they get wet. Seem to hold up well after being washed too. I wear a belt with them too but probably not necessary since the elastic waistband works well.

Great backcountry pants
Perfect for wilderness hiking and camping. Spent 10 days in them and they looked like I could go a lot longer. My only wish is that they had leg zips to remove or zip on the legs over boots.

Versatile pants, great fit
This item was purchased for a wilderness canoe expedition, where prudent packing is important. The weather was variable to both extremes and these pants performed beautifully. The wearer especially appreciated the color-coded zippers for matching up the leg parts—brilliant!

comfortable, versatile, and great pockets
I am a 5'10" tall woman who finds these pants long enough (I bought 33" waist and 36" length--I wish there was a 35" inseam--that would be perfect!) and nice enough to pass in the professional world. They are also my go-to travel pants. My phone fits in the side zipper pocket!

This is my fourth pair. They are perfect.
I love these pants. They’re the thinnest long pants one can wear in hot or strenuous environments, yet they are strong as an ox and I have never torn them. The material is thin like California Surfer board shorts, but iron strong. My weight fluctuates up and down nearly 10 pounds but they always seem to stretch when I’m bigger and snap back to sizewhen I’m smaller. They’re magic pants! The zip off legs are a plus, and each side’s zipper is color-coded to save you aggravation, but two of my pair are not zip off legs and I still love them.
Let’s be clear, these are utilitarian and not fashion pants. I mean they look good, and not stupid looking like cotton cargo pants, but you are wearing them to keep from overheating, be comfortable, and not damage them easily.
Actually I love the older version a little bit better, because they were offered in two materials, “water resistant“ and “ regular”. The current version only comes in “water resistant“ which makes the material slightly warmer. Darn!
