Not waterproof
I bought these on a Tuesday evening knowing I was going to be hiking on Thursday in the rain. I got absolutely soaked. These pants are not waterproof at all. I returned them on that Friday.

Kept me dry!
I took these on a trip Iceland where we had some wet days. The pants kept me perfectly dry. I wore them over jeans. Adding side pockets would make these rain pants even more practical.
