disappointing boot
had them for a season, they stretched a lot and now I need a heavy sock to get close to fitting. sole and insole have almost no padding so they are not suitable for long walks or hikes believe there are now many better boot options out there

Didn't make me jump higher...
...but a great pair of boots nonetheless! The craftsmanship is top-notch, with high-quality leather that’s both sturdy and comfortable. Right out of the box, they feel great, no break-in period needed. The leather is durable yet flexible, and the aggressive sole provides excellent traction for all terrains without being overly bulky. I look forward to wearing these for years to come!

Very nice leather
I bought these for Yellowstone. Sure, they're uninsulated but I have some really good socks. I'm at the outer limit for size and width on these (14EE) but I can still drive with them on. Driving with my most serious winter boots is kind of a problem because they look like something NASA made for the moon, so these are good compromise.
These boots arrive soft and feel like they're already broken in. I will confess that my feet always seem to fit LLB's sizing, so part of that is luck. I did take several hours of walks in them to make sure. They sure are comfy for me!
Surprisingly warm! Compared to the LLB Allagash bison chukkas I usually like to wear, because they're so good for driving, even in Yellowstone in the winter. The height of these boots and the padded collar really do keep powdery snow out and keep warm air in.
I even weighed these and they are notably lighter than my LLB Cresta backpacking boots, which are about the heaviest boots I own. I only wish the tread was a little narrower, making it more like a moccasin and less like a work boot, but I can't complain about the traction of the lugs on snow and packed snow and some ice.
I have no opinions on waterproofing right now. Puddles are rare in Yellowstone right now.

Great right out of the box
This is the closest I've ever come to a zero-break-in boot. Supremely comfortable right out of the box. It's roomy, but I like this because it gives the option for varying sock thickness depending on conditions, and you easily lace it up tighter if wearing thinner socks in warmer weather. Good cushioning, good support where needed. Build quality looks excellent; only time will tell on long-term durability. I don't really care how waterproof it is because I didn't buy it as a waterproof boot. There are thousands of obviously better options if you need a boot for excessively wet conditions, so I don't really understand all of the complaining about this. This is a comfortable, lightweight, moderate-to-warm-weather boot. It's well-designed and constructed for its intended range of uses.

Grab this boot while you can
This boot works well for me as a field boot. It is a light weight boot with a good tread. I'm an older man, and I need a good tread on a boot for sure footing.
