Good and bad
Good: Great warmth to weight ratio, good for not overheating/sweating too much in cold weather exercise, great coverage for backside with the longer length and love the hood.
Bad: Like some others have mentioned, the insulation comes out at the quilting seams, making it look old and pilled even after first wear, continues to do this after trimming off excess and washing, which is not okay for the price. The zipper is also just so, so, and takes some finagling at times to get it started. I have a quilted Primaloft coat from another brand that was less $ and the insulation has never done this and the zipper sure-starts every time. Feel these are deal breakers.

Love it!
I had to look back through my purchase history a few years to remember the name of this vest so I can order another. I am a big fan of this vest, in no small part because of the double-zipper. LLBean, you’ve done away with that double zip in so many things…please keep it on this vest, as I’ll order another color next winter! I wear mine around the house and also driving, so the zip up from the bottom is a huge help. Could not love it more! More colors, please!

Better without the hood.
I love this vest for its length and warmth. I wish the hood was detachable. I read in the reviews where someone had cut it off so that’s what I did. Much better without the hood.

Nice lightweight, warm, and versatile vest. Fit is on the longer side but not overwhelming. I really like the side gussets, 2-way zipper and hood features. I've ordered a second one in black and hoping LLB adds a few more colors this year..

Flattering and comfortable
I’ve been looking for a longer vest for some time. Didn’t need it too long though. I’m 6’1” and shop tall when I can. Length is perfect to keep my lower back warm. Double zipper is nice to have just in case for comfort or functionality. Love the hood too! Good for around the house or out and about on a cool (not cold) day.

Fantastic for layering or on is own.
Pricey but product totally worth it. I did not want a heavy down vest this is lightweight with a hood & pockets! Has longer length which i wanted. Great for layering. Quality zipper. LLBean craftsmanship.
