Needs LLB Design Re-thought
L.L. Bean Reversible Field Coat:
purchased 2025 for medium Australian Cattle Dog:
Workmanship & material adequate to good for urban park walks. For anything gnarlier… not the best. A little more padding loft would be nice…
Hello, LLB Designers… Really? No coverage down over hips where needed; back flips up in even modest breezes from the rear (side contour needs to blend from rear/mid-hip down to strap attachment point) and straps attaching with hook & loop. Who designed this feature?… do they not know— dogs have fur, Velcro hates fur! There are so many cleaner/quicker/surer, still cost effective, attachment methods available.
Take it from a Product Designer (55 years)…

Sizing is WAY OFF
This is very disappointing. ANOTHER LL bean item with sizing way off! I followed the measuring guidelines for my dog but when I recieved it….it didn’t come close to even fitting my MALTIPOO dog. I bought a size small and she is 16 lbs. LL Bean wants to tout that they are a higher end brand but they can’t even get sizing for 80% of their items right. It’s very sad and disappointing.
