Great for travel and as a work bag
Ordered this for travel and for a work bag. I’m a nurse and have to carry a lot of stuff to and from work. It has been great for both uses. I was able to pack all the stuff I needed for a 7 day trip in it and it fit under the airplane seat easily. Also carries all my work gear with room to spare. I love that I can put water bottles on both sides of it. Feels sturdy and appears well made so hoping it lasts a long time.

Handle ripped off
We've only had the backpack for 2 months and part of the handle has already ripped off. Seems like other people have had the same issue.

Classic Style Holds Up to Everyday Use!
This is my absolute favorite backpack. I used them in school for myself and now I buy them exclusively for my 4 kids! They hold up so well to the everyday wear and tear that kids put them through. The size is absolutely perfect and the style is a classic!

The Best There Ever Was
As a child, I carried an LL Bean book bag and it lasted middle school through my college years. For my kids there was no question--it was LL Bean or bust! We started with the Jr. Bookpack, then graduated to the regular size bookpack and now the deluxe to hold all their things--from huge binders to lunch bags and more--the deluxe offers plenty of room and then some. We still use the smaller ones for trips, etc. as they too will last forever. The quality is outstanding, very durable and exactly what you would expect from LL Bean. I will forever stand behind this brand. It's tried and true! Thank you, LL Bean!

Color is not accurate.
The online picture of this bag looks mauve to my eye. When it arrived the color is very different. It’s a grayish shade of lavender. It’s not ugly…it’s ok…but not what I expected. I haven’t carried it yet so I can’t speak to the quality but I’ve been buying LL Bean for years and never had any issues with quality. If you’re considering the bag that looks mauve…just know…it isn’t mauve.

Top handle tear
Handle on top of bag started to tear within a couple of weeks and now less than a month of using it has torn off completely.
