Not as thick as they used to be, disappointing
These are my favourite pants when the weather gets cold, they are not as thick as they were a few years ago, but, in my opinion there isn’t any better in other stores.

Love the subtle plaid
Bought these for my husband to wear this winter for dog walks- maybe layered when it gets super cold. He gets cold year round. I didn’t expect 40 degrees to already need layering. I expected a heavier/thicker pair of pants but nothing is made as well as it used to be. I expected I will be back to get the insulated pair once it gets colder unless I can find something at another place. I do know what other reviewers say that the style isn’t what they expected. If you want tailored/pleated Sunday church pants- go to a department store- higher end and buy suit pants. These are outdoorsy styled and the elastic side thing is great and so is the waistband to keep things tucked in. More good than bad and given you can’t easily find this high a content of wool in much places anymore- we are content to a decent rating

Great pants, perhaps better if lined
I love the Malone Plaid pattern but found the wool somewhat scratchy for my type of skin.

The Maine guide wool pants
Great pants ! This will be my fourth pair in 35 years. Perfect for hunting, or spring fishing under waders. Living in Florida now, but do get the occasional cold day to wear woods walking or stand hunting . Will bring these on my February trip to Maine to do some scouting. Like the adjustable waist. Thanks for all your great products over the years !
