Cozy and warm
I bought the XL first and returned for L..which is still large, but doable. I like the weight of this vest, but it is boxy and longer than I like even with the tightening ability in the hem. The faux waist is also high, which is odd, since it’s not really a waist, but a design detail to give the illusion of shape. if you are (blessed/cursed) with full breasts, LLB can be a challenging fit. I’d like to see a bit more fit in the Bean brand. Now after saying all this, this is a garment that will get plenty of wear.

Love this vest! I have been buying LL Bean vests for many years and wear them hiking all fall and then as a layer under a jacket in the winter. Can’t beat the fabric and fit

Needs a little “breaking in” to be great.
Fabric is heavier and stiffer than I expected. With time I’m sure it will become as comfortable as the very old one it replaces.

Nice weight, but no inside pockets.
I loved the weight of this vest, but it has no inside pockets which is a must for me. Sadly, I returned it.

Perfect Fleece Vest
I love this vest! The cut and fit are excellent. The fleece is soft. The leather tabs on the zippers add a nice aesthetic touch and make it much easier to open pockets with gloves or cold hands. It’s perfect for keeping your torso warm when a jacket would be too much. The quality is top notch. This vest is indispensable.
