Not what they used to be.
I’ve been buying and wearing these Henley shirts since 2015 and let me tell you..the quality was noticeably and significantly better back then. I just recently purchased a new one to replace an old color and it feels way lighter than the vintage ones that I owned previously and just doesn’t feel as heavy or quality. I can’t explain it but I just know that it’s different and made with lesser quality. It’s truly a shame and I feel sad that L.L. Bean’s quality is dipping and the prices are going up! Makes no sense to me, I hope they can find a way back to their roots and stop cutting corners because this shirt isn’t the same and it seems that a lot of products are falling victim to that same issue.

Stiff, scratchy fabric
Men’s Unshrinkable Mini-waffle Henley shirt is made well but fabric is not comfortable. After 3 wash it is still very stiff and scratchy on the skin. I have waffle style shirts from 3 other major clothing companies that are soft and pliable but not LLB; if you’re looking for comfort the LLB shirt doesn’t compare. Sleeve length and waist length also shrunk after wash/dry low heat. Would not recommend
