Best Winter horseback riding pants ever!
I use these for horseback riding in the Winter. The crotch seamed sewn to be quiet also makes them very comfortable in the saddle. The fit comfortably and keep me warm with just a base layer underneath. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, functional, almost there...
Very comfortable and functional pants, just need a few more details to be improved: 1- Inseam is a little short (I'm 5'8" so just a little over average height.) Add another 1 1/2" or adjustability to length. 2 - Waist cinchers need a bit longer velcro on the pant to allow for tightening when no layers are worn underneath. ** 3 - They can be a bit noisy when sneaking through the woods: Add a very thin, tight-knit wool fabric piece on the outside front of the thigh to quiet them down from twigs brushing or slapping against them. I purchased these fall 2021 and was wishing for this when using them on turkey hunting hunts this spring and milder late season deer stalking last fall. I'll end up seeking out or repurposing some camo wool to do this before hunting with them this fall.

Too loud
These fit well, are warm, and offer good protection from the rain. The only (major) problem is that they are really loud when I walk. I have to walk bow-legged like a cowboy, and if I shift in my stand I have to be really careful. I have spooked deer before because of the noises they make. Super bummed - these were expensive and otherwise good. I won't be buying other hunting apparel from LL Bean based on the noise, which someone else also commented on regarding the matching jacket. I am ~120 pounds, 5'3", and ordered the extra small. Thermals and fleece pants fit well underneath.

Great for desert hunting
I purchased these not knowing if they would work in thorny, desert brush and scrub, but I was pleasantly surprised. Even without a base layer I never got stuck hiking through cacti, manzanita, or other prickly scrub. They were very warm for the cold days, almost too warm for the higher temps. Comfortable, adjustable waist and good, deep pockets which is rare for womens clothes. Would absolutely but again.

OMG I cannot say enough about these pants. THEY HAVE AN ADJUSTABLE WAISTBAND WITH A HIGH BACK!!! No need for a belt, they have give built in! You can adjust them exactly as you'd like and don't have to worry about them riding down if you bend over. They are so comfortable and quiet for walking around the woods. In colder weather I wear wool long johns underneath and I've worn waders over them too. #1 FAN!!!!
