Giant pocket! Good wind resistance.
Used this heavily on a trip to Great Sand Dunes. It held up well to getting blasted by 50-60mph gusts of sand. The pocket was awesome on days when I wanted to bring “stuff” without carrying a pack or purse. It is seriously massive. That combined with the large handpocket behind it just gave it a ton of capacity. Stowaway feature is good, and this is also lightweight so could be strapped in to the outside of a pack easily if not in stowed form (which I did on several hikes). I’m 5’10”, ~155 lbs and bought large tall. It’s perhaps a bit baggy at the hemline but does have the ability to be cinched. Worked well over other layers. I preferred it baggy. It kept me dry in light drizzly snow; haven’t tested in rain yet. You’ll want warm layers underneath in cold temps.
