Pills non stop without ever wearing it!
I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband and the sweater had pills on the sleeves and the wool was dropping all over the floor before he even tried it on. Will look old and used within a week. Way overpriced for such poor quality. Also it was a size M and huge and boxy thru the middle. I can’t believe no one mentioned the pilling. Back it goes.

Warm and Cozy
My husband loves this warm, cozy, full zip rag sweater, and wears it often during the winter. He purchased a different color last year, and wanted to add another this year. Excellent L.L. Bean quality!

High quality sweater

They changed it
This sweater which is a staple every year at Bean, has always been a great thing. Just a tad on the L side of L, fairly thick wool, flannel lining. This year the arms are at least 2-3in too long, like the sleeves of an XXL tall sewn on. I think the rest is unchanged. I may have received a defective item? Unfortunately Bean has thing, (Wool zip shirt jac) where they deliberately do things like this to ruin an otherwise great garment.

Sleeves are too long
I bought mine after returning another LL Bean wool sweater. I bought this one because it was lined. I really wanted to like it but the sleeves are just too long. I can’t work in it comfortably and I don’t like how the arms look when I roll up the sleeves.

My son loved this sweater till it developed a hole
It is a beautiful sweater with a lovely flannel lining and very warm too. My son loved it, but a medium sized hole developed (about 2" )on the wool near the elbow of the sleeve .

Good quality and fit
Overall: This is a nice, thick sweater that is quite warm. The quality seems to be top notch. Being a sweater, though, biting winds will get through it. This is a great indoor sweater, or for outdoors if the wind isn't strong.
Fit: I'm 5'8" and 225lbs and purchased an XL. The sweater fits well with the exception of the arms that are too long. I have to fold in the ends of the sleeves to keep them from covering my hands.
