Warm, comfortable, versatile and nice looking jac
More jacket than shirt but a warm, comfortable, versatile and nice looking jacket that I wear almost everywhere. Unless you have very long arms, I suggest ordering 1 smaller size than usual.

I like the coat, but stop putting your logo
I ordered this jacket because I liked the color (grey and black) and it was on sale. While I like the jacket and the fit, I thought it was unnecessary to have the words "LL Bean" embroidered on the front left pocket. This is a classic LL bean garment and there no need to cheapen its look by embroidering unnecessary advertising on the outside. Otherwise, I
think it is a really nice coat and it fits well.

Classic
Decent weight. Seems to be built for durability. I'm not a heavy coat wearer and prefer at most a shirtjak like this. Over the years I've found myself going back to more traditional and natural insulators for winter wear like wool. Just seems to wear better. Retains heat better. Plus it has a classic style that never goes out. Looking forward to many years of use from this jacket.

the jacket needs to be 100 percent wool it would m
updated on the wool jacket the chest pockets are to small they should be deeper the inside pockets Theye'd didn't do a complete stich, so you have a 2 inch hole on both sides. its not very warm it should be made out of 100 % wool with cargo pockets and hand warming pockets behide with a hood. with a stand-up collar.
and a zippen on hood

A great mid-winter coat
I've been using the coat now a little over a week now and I'm very impressed. I had the unlined version 10+ years ago and it was just a little too light for my needs. The Primaloft lined jac-shirt adds just enough additional warmth to make it great for mid-winter use.
Fit - I ordered a medium. I'm 5'8", 160 lbs., and wear a 40 or 42 Regular sportcoat. The coat fits comfortably, with just enough extra room for a light sweater or an unlined wool vest as an additional layer for warmth. The sleeves, buttoned to the second button, hang at a comfortable length, right to the palm of my hand when at my side and are not in the way while working or driving.
Warmth - Just took a stroll around the neighborhood with the wife. It is mid-February. 28°F, winds at 8 mph. Partly sunny. Worn over a flannel shirt. I was neither too warm nor too cold for the 45 minutes we were out, walking at a leisurely pace. The Primaloft lining, in addition to adding an amount of heat retention, also adds a decent amount of wind resistance that was lacking in the unlined version.
The green/black plaid is good looking. It was hard to decide between this and the more traditional red/black. I'm glad that I went with the green. Although, the red/black plaid may go on my Christmas wish list in the future.
