Excellent jacket!
This is an excellent jacket! It’s very warm and blocks the wind extremely well. In the high desert country east of the Cascades at over 4000 ft. elevation and lots of snow, it’ll do the job. It looks good, too!

This is wonderful to wear with a Henley because it is insulated and you don’t need any additional layers. Great wool garment in a world that has focused on synthetics. Fairly priced.

This is the guide jacket to get
I bought the cheaper unlined jacket last year, but this is the one to get. The unlined jacket is uncomfortable as your shirt will stick to the wool like Velcro. And it is too hot for a shirt, and not warm enough for a coat, so get the lined version which is spendy.
Yes, it runs large, so if that bothers you, downsize a notch.

Awesome jacket.

Light but warm
I sized down knowing I would only be wearing a t-shirt underneath. First time wearing it was 40 degrees with a 25 mph wind, wow was I impressed with how warm and windproof this is. Very pleased with form and function (sitting, driving, moving about). Glad I added this to my closet.
