like the colour
I bought this coat for my husband because he wanted a pea coat. It cost $479 Canadian plus tax. Fabric is OK but the fit is terrible. It was going to cost too much to return this item so I took it to a tailor and after $80 having it adjusted it works better. I had ordered a tall, but this is no way tall. I have to wonder why this is the only coat on the website that isn't closed on the front as other jackets are. Is this because the fit is so bad. I was really upset, but.

Excellent value in a traditional Pea Coat
I picked this out after doing a deep dive on genuine Pea Coats, ranging in price from $200-$1,200.
This was one of the few with a 100% Italian melton wool fabric instead of a poly blend. I ordered the Navy & have others have stated it’s not a true deep dark navy, rather a dark blue color, especially in the sunlight. I returned it for the black which IMHO is the best choice for this brand. It’s more of a deep charcoal but it meets the standard. The ones with perfectly true colors costs hundreds more. The cut, fit & fabric are really nice. I have long arms (35”) & the sleeves are perfect. It’s not baggy at all & if you’re going to wear big bulky sweaters order a size up. I got a L & it’s perfect for a flannel shirt or thin ski sweater. The pockets are tack stitched so you’ll have to snip them to get then opened up. Weird, but they’re there & satin lined, as is the inside Napolean pocket. Overall, I would highly recommend this for the price point. Nothing I found came close. Get the black for the authentic Pea Coat look.

Great fit and quality however the color is a bit off. Not a true black but it certainly is a keeper!

A Bad Fake Pea Coat
I returned this pea coat. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed. The navy color looked washed out instead of the traditional deep navy, the pockets were FAKE, the collar was shorter than a traditional pea coat and it wasn’t warm

gorgeous coat
My husband and I have been watching Shetland on Brit Box. it's a detective show based in the Shetland Islands. The main character wears a black pea coat. And I thought, what a perfect gift for him. I had him open it early, just to see if it fit right. It does run a bit large, sleeves too long and a bit bulky, so I'm sending it back for a smaller size. So, on to the review. This coat is stunning !!! It's so beautifully made. The pockets are tacked, the buttons have the Navy anchor embossed on them and the fabric is made in Italy !!!! It will last for years. I'm very glad I bought it. It just runs a bit large.

Great Peacoat but outside pockets are sealed
The jacket is nice however the exterior pockets are stitched together and can’t be used. Who sells a winter coat without usable exterior pockets.

Lost a button on the first wear
I’ve wanted a pea coat for years, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one during a sale. Normally, I wear a size medium in jackets, but after some research and reading reviews, I decided to go with a small, and it fits perfectly, with just enough room to fit a sweatshirt and still look flattering. A medium would’ve certainly been too big for me, especially in shoulders and the sleeves would be too long. It seems decently warm. On my first day, I wore it out in 25 degree weather and was comfortable.
Overall, I’d almost be thrilled with the this coat, but on my first wear, one of the buttons was stitched improperly, and immediately popped off. I fixed it, but I’d be disappointed with a button popping off of a cheap coat during its first wear, and to have this happen on a coat that costs over $300 is unacceptable, and it makes me worry about how well this coat will hold up to long term use.
Hopefully, my fears are unfounded, but needing to fix a brand new coat really tarnished the excitement I had for ordering and unboxing this coat.
