Warm, but poorly made
I have warn this jacket for 1 month, and already 3 buttons have fallen off and been lost. LLBean customer service will not send any missing buttons. Don't waste your time with this expensive, poorly made jacket. There must be better options out there for $500...

L.L. Bean Wool Peacoat is stylish
Have wanted a Peacoat for the longest time to supplement my wardrobe. The L.L. Bean Wool Peacoat is perfect for both casual wear and dressy occasions. Great construction, great materials, and the large, tall size a perfect fit for my 6'4", 200 lbs. frame. I look forward to many years with this coat.

I was looking for a peacoat that is well made and that would last a couple of winters for my elderly mother and one for me as well. I found it here at LL Bean. I truly hope that in the coming years more and more classic, well made coats and clothes for men and women will be made here in the USA with excellent craftmanship and ingenuity. Enough of the lies that there isn't manpower/resources and that the price will be excessive. All lies. We have so much cotton in the South, lamb and sheep farmers to sell the wool. Back to the 70's and 80's and better. All the best to LL Bean in New England USA.

very nice winter coat!
This coat is bullet proof when it comes to keeping me warm. Fits very well and is well made and an attractive coat. Very pleased with the purchase. Only problem is I am having trouble turning off the LL Bean adds that stuff my email now.
