The Model Makes It Look Amazing but...
I was surprised at how unforgiving the fabric was. There was no stretch at all. In the pictures it looks like sweatshirt material or a soft plush sweater material. It's not. Another thing to seriously note: The neck hole. If you want to wear it and have makeup on, the neck opening is very limited and very stiff so that the collar will stand up like in the picture. I am surprised no one brought this up at all in all the reviews I read. The neck opening is so stiff, it either pulls at my hair clip in my bun (loosening it) or it rubs some of my makeup onto the collar. I purchased three because I wanted to try it and if I liked it, I wanted to get a few colors. All the years prior it had sold out before I could try. I kept the navy one with the knowledge that I might not wear it that much. The one that is called "Gray" is really a creamy white or bisque. And being curvy on top and bottom, the cream white or gray makes me look like a linebacker for a football team. Not forgiving at all. It's a pretty sweater but not all bodies will like this on themselves.

Ordered it in the gold color and it is super cute!! It's too warm to wear here in Texas, but I look forward to wearing it in the fall. I do wish it had a little stretch to it though.

Fabulous sweatshirt
I recently bought a Navy Donegal sweatshirt and love the feel of it. I would have rated this a 5 but the mock turtleneck needs some “rework” as it lays a bit awkwardly on my neck. Hopefully llBean will work on this aspect before next season.

Weirdly unflattering cut and fit
I was disappointed to miss out on this sweatshirt last year, and ordered one as soon as they became available this year. I especially liked the rich gold color, since so many Bean women's clothes are soft pastel-y colors instead of deep rich autumn shades. Sadly, the sweatshirt is not at all what I expected and will be going back.
The funnel neck is tighter than most such necklines, more like a mock turtleneck. The body of the sweatshirt looks like it should be straight up and down, but in fact it comes in oddly at the hem. That means it hugs the hips and billows out in the midsection. It makes my pear-shaped body look apple-shaped.
I bought my usual size in Bean tops, and I've never had one that fit so badly. If anything, it should have been a little roomy. Instead it clung to my hips even with lightweight hiking pants.

Terrible Funnelneck
Just received two of these. Color and weight are perfect but neck is terrible. It’s as if it’s sewn on backwards (even though it’s apparently the style) and I can’t imagine would be very flattering to those carrying a little extra around the chin. Big miss with quality on this one.

Softest sweatshirt ever!
I just received my navy Donegal Sweatshirt, and I am thrilled! It is so soft and cozy. It seems very warm, and I love the length. The interwoven "specks" and the funnel neck make this a very versatile top for fall outings, football games, and a casual dinner afterwards. Easy to wear and I love it! I may ask for another color for Christmas.......or not wait that long!

I love this item but a funnel neck is the most uncomfortable and unflattering design element ever invented! If this came with a crew collar, I would buy one or even several in a heartbeat
