Just the right weight and water resistance
Bought this because i wanted a lightweight jacket with a hood that would not get soaked on rainy days. Also will take on a summer cruise to Iceland to have a jacket with flexibility with some warmth and dealing with those sporadic rain and showers. Some may want to size up to ensure the best fit. Check the size chart for sure

Not what I wanted
Was not what I wanted. I was looking to replace my old L.L. Bean parka whose zipper broke. This jacket is not warm enough. Doesn't resist wind very well.

Good looking jacket, but…..
Perfect for chilly days. Looks great. Nice front zipper with wind block.The negatives are the use of snaps on pockets instead of zippers and the hood requires the use of a ball cap or It will cover your eyes. Come on Bean people for $100, this hood should have adjustable fit for your face, that other (off brand) jackets provide for much less.

Great jacket but needs hood hidden in collar.
This is a great puffer jacket, but I wish the hood could be retracted to fit under the collar, so you could pull the hood out only when you need it. That’s the difference in a 5 star vs my 4 star rating.

Runs small and short. My husband has other LLBean jackets in Xl. This one runs about a 1 size small. More like a Large.
He thought it was a ladies jacket!! Could have nicer materials, also.
