Rated 5 de 5 de par LIke this coat I have written a previous review of this item before winter set in so this is a bit of an update. First I have a 49 inch chest i.e. between sizes the XXL which is too big and this one which is on the small size. I have 4 LLBean coats- leather coat, fleece jackets, and puffer jacket all XL in size and they fit really well- plenty of chest room and sleeves that are perfect in length. This coat is sized differently in that be warned if you are over 48 inch chest there is very little wiggle room in this jacket and for me the sleeves are an inch too long compared to my other coats. I am comfortable wearing a long sleeve Henley t and this coat but cannot wear much else without it being too tight. That said I have been out in the low 30s, low 10s and at 15F in a strong with with just my Henley underneath. I was doing mild work and was comfortable, cool but comfortable - this was great in the wind and comparable to my puffer jacket in warmth. I like the style, the material the look and overall the coat-- but again it you are over 48 inch chest size this is not like other LL Bean coats/jackets it will be tight so based on my experience 48 is pretty much max in this case if you want under garment flexibility. I wish it were sized more like the other bean XL jackets.. Still overall I like this coat and it will get worn.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Weak I really wanted to like this jacket. It’s late spring and early fall jacket,at best. The sleeves are short, especially when driving.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Getting Another One This jacket is comfortable, looks good, and is wash-and-wear. I am buying another one today. For really cold days, I have a parka or a ski-type jacket. I wear this utility jacket most of the time!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Work jacket It’s become my work jacket. It’s clearly very durable and well stitched. The shoulder design is spot on and really makes it comfortable while using your arms. Bean nailed it with this one. My two gripes were the waist and cuffs were just too wide. I had the waist brought in a couple of inches and added an extra snap to the cuff. Now it is perfect. Chest pockets are roomy and functional. They easily fit a pair of gloves. The inner pocket is clever in that it drops down fairly far, so you won’t lose anything bending over. Definitely a lifetime jacket. 5’7” 180-lbs athletic build, Medium is great with a light layer underneath

Rated 5 de 5 de par Just what I was looking for Great jacket. Not too bulky but insulated. Nicely fitted but loose enough that I can layer it with a thick sweater or a hoodie underneath. Plenty of pockets. I got the black one but the actual color is closer to a dark grey weathered black, so just keep that in mind when ordering it in black. I kind of prefer the grey-ish color to black so not an issue.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Great jacket, bad material The material sounds and feels like a plastic shell jacket. I like everything about this jacket except for the material. I would wear it much more often if it were a higher percentage of cotton and less polyester/plastic.
