Quality Deterioratio in Manufacturing is Apparent
I thought long and hard about this review. I have worn LL Bean clothing most of my life, my dad still wears shirts from before I was born in the nineties that look almost new. They used to stand for quality for all of their products. I purchased these pants for office work and church, so not very tough conditions. They began to pill in the area between my thighs within 1 day. Now, I know the size of my thighs has nothing to do with these pants, but they are not tight on me any more than any other pants that I own. No other pants do this to me, even my cheap jeans. The fit was nice and comfortable, however the quality is so poor I can't in good conscience recommend their clothing as a "quality" option.

Nice fit for shorter guys.
The fit is great for me. I’m short so the 28 inch inseam is a luxury. I wish it was available on all LL Bean men’s pants. Shopping would be less painful if so. These are very comfortable and I love the color.

Calves are narrower than they appear.
The material and construction is nice, but the calves on the pants are _much_ skinnier than I was led to believe by the size description and the images. My calves bulge in these things and I can't fit them over boots. Not gonna be able to wear them most of the winter, unfortunately. Otherwise they're fine.

Love them
These pants fit perfect. Thankfully they are not low rise, and there is enough room to be that relaxed fit. There is a bit of stretch that you can feel too so the fabric will give when it needs to. I bought the black pants and they don't look baggy or too slim. They are tapered at the bottom, which is nice option for wearing different types of shoes or boots. The fabric is a lighter midnight, but you can tell they are the signature line with the nice button and zippers and such. Really nice.
