Must have coat
This coat is amazing. It keeps you warm in freezing temperatures with one layer of clothing, no need to bulk up. The hood offers ample coverage and stays on. It’s super lightweight as well, and waterproof. I would highly recommend this coat. I gave it a 4 star because I would prefer snaps or hidden buttons instead of the Velcro (scarf and gloves get stuck on it). FYI I’m 5’3” 165 lbs hourglass shape and size Medium fits perfect with extra space.

Love this coat , it’s lightweight . Zipper pocket,
There is one major problem with this beautiful coat. The zipper constantly gets stuck on the material around the zipper. You can’t get the zipper up or down. I have been taking the coat over my head or stepping into it. Every single other feature is absolutely perfect with this coat.

Fantastic warm coat!
Fits true to size. Great pockets and several neat features (including zippers at the cuffs to allow for mittens or gloves). Hood is also a reasonable size--not too big to actually wear yet large enough to pull over a stocking hat.

Perfect for chilly MN winters!
Love this coat! It's warm, cozy, and simple without being bulky or heavy. And the sage green with burnt orange color combo is awesome! I'd buy a longer version in a heartbeat...hint, hint LL Bean! ;-)

Worth the investment
As described - light, super warm and great waterproof shell. Slightly fitted shape is great and fleece at wrists is perfect. Only wish there was a wider band of fleece at the neck as the small strip is the only drawback to this coat. Fit true to size.

Pricey but worth it!
I bought this coat for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I already have a down coat from a competitor of Bean's, but it is not the slightest bit waterproof. So I searched until I found this coat. It's roughly three times as expensive as my other coat, but it is just fantastic. Comfortable, warm without being bulky, and doesn't smell like cheap goose down. We are having a very frigid cold snap (below zero) and I am warm as toast. I bought the green one with the dark orange lining. I love everything about it.
