This hard-wearing, but soft, fleece-lined heavyweight hooded sweatshirt will keep the cold out and the warmth in year after year.
The Katahdin Iron Works operated in the north woods for much of the 19th century, employing thousands of hardworking Mainers. Inspired by their grit and strength, we designed our Katahdin Iron Works line of rugged work clothes to stand up to all kinds of rough use.
- 100% polyester fleece lining; sleeves are lined with 100% polyester taffeta.
- 91% cotton, 9% polyester.
- Machine wash and dry.
- Taffeta-lined sleeves for easy on/off.
- Body is lined with soft berber fleece for extra warmth and comfort.
- Triple-needle stitching adds durability.
- Locker loop.
- Front pockets, one with interior security pocket.
- Ribbed trim at cuffs and hem.
- Zip front.
- Specially-designed hood fits well even over a baseball cap.
- Underarm gussets for added mobility.

Warmest hoodie going
This is the third Iron Works Fleece-lined Hooded Sweatshirt I have purchased. I bought one for my son, then one for myself, and another one for my son after he wore out the first one. Warmest hoodie going.

Great hoodie. I usually wear an XL but I tried on a L and it fits perfectly. So I recommend ordering a size smaller than you normally wear.

My go to casual sweatshirt
Very cozy and warm sweatshirt that has become my go to layer this fall in Montana. I am 6 ft 200 lbs and bought an XL which fits very loosely to allow for layering in even colder temps. One improvement for me would be an upper lined vertical zipper pocket to stash my glasses.

Fleece lining really makes it warm….
It is wonderfully warm with its fleece lining. I got extra sizing to allow for warmer turtlenecks, sweaters underneath. Zips easily. Hood a nice feature and exterior sturdy but not stiff so good for outside “work”. Have not yet washed it so cannot speak to that. Would recommend for nice warm wind proof wear.

My second one. I still wear the one I purchased 13 years ago when working outdoors. Too faded and a little worn on the cuffs to wear out.
