Disappointed!
Very flimsy flannel exterior for a shirt-jacket (which I considered it to be as it is lined and has a square cut bottom). Catalog truthfully states lining is "lightweight" but expected flannel to be at least medium weight. Collar and cuffs usually get the most wear and although double layered the flannel is so thin that both were wrinkled and unsightly after just a few hours of casual social wear. With such a thin material they should be reinforced. I have purchased far better and much more substantial shirt-jackets at discount clothing chains for less than 1/6 the cost. Definitely not typical of L.L. Bean quality. Might be appropriate for a very rare balmy mid-winter day in the Florida Keys but not for anywhere north of the FL./GA border from Autumn to Spring. Nowhere near the quality its price demanded.

Extremely low quality, nice looking color way. I would be hesitant to war this to work, as my elbows would wear through from a desk job, like other recent LL Bean purchases. This will be my last purchase from them.

Excellent purchase, comfy, warm, a replacement
This replaces a fallen warrior in red plaid that I've had for years, but which eventually got worn out. I asked my wife to patch it with iron on patches, so I could wear it with my garden work as a jacket, and I'm using this as a clean jacket shirt when I go out, and with walks in the neighborhood. Lovely purchase, would buy again and again :) Very comfortable and warm. Nice warm pockets for my hands.
