LOVE THE SIDE ZIPPER
i bought boot this winter but only used it once after we had a storm that started as rain change to sleet then snow and finally freezing rain and a drop in temperature to single digit during the night. the next morning we had 5 inches of freezing wintering mix, the snow blower was able to clear the top layers but the bottom layer was ice, which was manually chopped to clear, the boots kept the feet warm and dry, the footing didn't cause any slipping or sliding. So I'm pleased with the purchase.

The right boots for my needs.
Delivered as advertised and pretty much hit all of my requirements. Quality is good based on earlier product line purchases. Should make for a long life. Easy in/out, comfortable, warm, and can run zipper tight.

Product returned due to poor fit. I normally wear a WIDE size and I tried to make a NORMAL width work. Boot would have been perfect if correct fit. I ordered the lace version in the correct size.

Perfect easy on and off comfortable fit
I bought a pair just before New Years they are the by far the best boots I’ve ever had. Tried to purchase another pair in February but they were SOLD OUT ☹️

Decent boot, runs narrow
LL Bean’s availability model for these boots is frustrating. I had to check the site multiple times a day to find my size in stock. Sizes and colors seemed to appear at random, and it took nearly a week of checking several times daily before I was able to order the pair I wanted.
As for the boots themselves, I’m generally pleased with the construction and traction. That said, I removed one star for fit. They run narrow. I have a wider foot, but I ordered my usual size as recommended and can only wear thin dress socks comfortably. Standard winter wool socks are too tight.
I was also surprised there is no exterior zipper flap. At $150, I would expect that feature. It would help keep snow out of the zipper and prevent it from sliding down, which has happened in deeper snow.
Overall, I like the boots, but at this price point I expected a bit more in terms of fit and design details.

Sturdy High Quality Boots
I am glad to have these boots since we have had a lot of snow. The treads are great for walking in the snow.
They fit well but the tags inside the boots are rough and dug into my leg.
