Best reel for the money
I have a couple of these. They are well made, robust, and reliable. Also LL Bean seems to keep making the same design so spare spools remain available. I have other reels in this price range and these are by far the best.

pleased
Attractive and well made little click and pawl. No problem with over- spooling even when stripping line on lowest drag setting. In total agreement with reviewer who would like to see this reel available in larger sizes.

Great “budget” reel
I fish a variety of freshwater species in New England; bass, panfish, pickerel, trout. I have never found that I need anything more than a click reel for those species - even bass are fine on a clicker.
This reel is a great one - looks similar to my CFOiii, holds a Rio FIPs line with 100yrd of backing, and for the price I doubt you’d get a machined in Korea reel.
Get one - they work - they’re the right price - they have spools.
I’ll be carrying mine with a euro line and a spare spool with a double taper 3wt line for a 10’6” 3wt euro nymphing rod.
