Our heaviest-weight flannel. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. And it still gets better with age. In fact, customers rave about the "impeccable quality" and tell us that these shirts just get more and more comfortable over the years.

Gender Equality
Great Shirt but Tall is Too Tall for me. Reordered as a Regular, and it is Perfect. Women have complained for years that sizing is not standard between brands. I guess we have achieved gender equality.

Dark Green My Favorite Color!

I love these shirts. Heavier material than the flannel variety and excellent quality. Warm in the winter and exceptional for wear in the fall as a jacket.

Better fit, looks neater
Fits well, XL is not quite as big as previous ones were so the front panels of the shirt don't overlap by 8=10 inches like the preior one.

Great shirt
Bought this for my husband. He loves it! We got the XL, traditional fit and I was sure it would be too big. But it’s not. He wears it as an outer layer and the thick, chamois material looks good as a looser fit. The burgundy color is nice and rich. It washed perfectly. Great to wear for three seasons in Michigan.
