Pure wool outer, high quality
I searched everywhere for a wool peacoat that will keep me warm, and this is the best. High quality with nice buttons. All other coats were cheap, mixed with polyesters, and had their store logo on the buttons with being just as expensive.

Very nice but not a good fit for me
Comfortable and good quality, but sadly returned because the cut was not flattering for me. It flared out in front too much. Did not try a smaller size because it would've been too tight elsewhere.

Nostalgic style and fit
This was a college jacket purchased about 5 decades ago similar to this version, but it was in black. This one is far better by design and fit without tightness. I'm a petite 4 on top but purchased petite 6. Shoulders fit perfectly and thought the body is too loose, but nope. There should be some "air" around the jacket as in how coats use to be made with comfort that will last for years. It's quite nostalgic because I loved the fond memories created with each passing year until it fell apart due to use and neglect. Nearly took me that long to find one in navy that wasn't fashion trendy but durable, soft, quality, styled correctly (comfy and slight relaxed to fit layers underneath). I like button closures over zippers because it's easier and faster for my fingers. Jacket looks great owned or closed. No weird shape in front, side or back views. Perfect length all around. I admire the petite fit with placement of side pockets perfectly with amble room for gloves and even a winter cap and cellphone. Top notch stand up very warm collar that will block even the heaviest of wind like the ones going at 60 miles per hour on Avenue of America in midtown Manhattan. It's perfection because there is thinsulate with this classic peacoat. I'm always cold with poor circulation. Hard to find that added detail but it makes a difference waiting in blistery weather conditions on outside platforms for train or a love one to pick you up so I don't end up shaking to death.

Beautiful, just not right for me
I love the look, construction, and materials. The fit wasn't right for me, however. Unless it was completely buttoned up, it just flared out in the back too much.
